Purchasing Analyst


Compiles and analyzes statistical data plus obtains data for cost analysis studies for use in determining feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives for contract negotiations.  Prepares reports, charts and graphs of findings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Maintain & analyze supplier and component data:

Monitor and assure all purchasing processes are followed
Contact information
Purchase Orders and IDCO maintenance
Cost out idea generation
Update purchase orders (update price, print, and get signed)
Create project sheets for price changes
Track project progress:

Calculate project cost savings
Enter and maintain project master
Verify accuracy of tracking file vs. project log book
Facilitate weekly project review meetings
Reports, charts and graphs from project information
Maintain supplier database:

Payment terms
Payment method (Receipt, Use, Crate)
Year to date, planned and annual spend by part number and summary
Percentage of cost out generated by supplier
Quality tracking and follow-up:

PSW follow-up
Complete PMT weekly audit
Prepare debits to suppliers – rework, sorting, receiving discrepancies where applicable
Complete and distributes weekly and monthly reports for Corporate.

Other duties as assigned including:

Complete and distribute weekly reports for Corporate
Financial tracking and reporting
Understanding and develop of PPV/OMV
Resolve invoice problems
Complete RFQ packages
Purchasing management of Literature and Packaging components
Everything concerning about ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

B.A./B.S. in Business or equivalent experience and training.  Expert Excel skills required.  Experience with other Microsoft applications desired.


One to three years purchasing or finance related experience with demonstrated professional growth. Ability to negotiate and Project management.



Excellent interpersonal skills.  Desire to grow within the Purchasing Organization.
