JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Reporting to the GTC Director, the Trade Data Analyst’s primary function is to ensure compliance of all Regal Rexnord facilities with all applicable FTA regulations. The Trade Data Analyst will determine the Harmonized System Tariff classification, country of origin, USMCA qualification, as well as ensure records are kept in accordance with requirements. The Trade Data Analyst will be part of the Global Trade Data Center of Excellence and will work closely with the GTC Trade Data Manager, Trade Operations Managers, and internal customers to provide training and reviews.
Major responsibilities include:
Request, collect and review certificates of origin from suppliers
Issue USMCA and other FTA certificates to customers as required
Create and maintain log of FTA customers certificates provided
Update trade data in the Global Trade Management system
Review USMCA and other FTA certificates that are issued by Regal Rexnord
Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) for FTA eligibility
Ensure current USMCA and Country of Origin data is maintained in available Customs systems in a timely and
accurate manner
Handle country of origin questions and concerns
Ensure compliance with USMCA and other FTA regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Adhere to established policies and procedures.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
The Trade Data Analyst must possess the following:
3-5 years Trade Compliance experience in Harmonized Tariff Classification, U.S. Customs Regulations, Section /
Chapter Notes, explanatory notes, CROSS rulings and Certificates of Origin.
BS or BA degree preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, have a good written/verbal command of English and Spanish.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent multi-tasking ability and handling varied projects.
Ability to work independently without daily oversight.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel.
SAP, Oracle, Trade Automation, PRISMA experience a plus.
Travel: Ability to Travel 10% Languages: English/Spanish
Desired Qualifications:
The following would enhance the performance of the Trade Data Analyst
BS or BA degree in International Trade or Logistics
Clear understanding of US Customs Import regulations
Clear understanding of Mexican IMMEX regulations
Experience writing ruling requests and ruling decisions
Experience driving continuous improvement in processes and performance
